Real estate developer Godrej Properties Ltd. (GPL) on Friday, January 10, announced the acquisition of a 24-acre land parcel in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, for developing a premium residential project.

The development on this land will focus on premium plotted residential units, offering an estimated saleable area of approximately 6.20 lakh square feet.

The project is expected to generate a revenue potential of around ₹500 crore, as per current business assumptions, Godrej Properties informed the stock exchanges in a filing.

This acquisition marks the company’s second major land purchase in Indore, following its acquisition of a 46-acre plot on the Indore-Ujjain Road in July 2024.

In a regulatory filing, Godrej Properties informed it has acquired about 24-acre of land in Indore.

The company did not divulge the total cost of the land parcel.

The company currently operates in various cities and focuses on residential, commercial, and township development.

The company’s consolidated net profit soared to Rs 335.21 crore in Q2 FY25 as against Rs 66.80 crore posted in Q2 FY24. Revenue from operations zoomed to Rs 1,093.23 crore in the quarter ended 30 September 2024 as compared to Rs 343 crore reported in the corresponding quarter previous year.
